In 2019, the United Recreational Soccer League (URSL) was created by the LOUYAA Soccer program to give recreational teams a place to play, grow, and compete. What started as a small, community-driven effort quickly gained traction as nearby clubs, also struggling for opportunities, joined in. The overwhelming response led to the league’s continuation, fueled by dedicated volunteers.

Now, four years later, URSL has expanded to over 32 clubs across Maryland, Virginia, WV & PA staying true to its mission—offering an affordable, competitive, and community-focused soccer experience. With a focus on fun, fairness, and accessibility, URSL of Maryland ensures every player has a place to play and enjoy the game without the high costs of other leagues.
